Success Stories

I don’t like using pictures to promote weight loss as I feel that there is more to life and health than just looking “skinny”. You could actually be really skinny visually but also be really unhealthy.

However, some people like to have a visual picture to see if a programme is working. So going forward I will be putting some photographs up. At the moment I just have my own but there will be lots more to come.

I will also be posting lots of success stories from my clients. I really respect their privacy – not everyone wants their picture and story all over the internet, so in some cases it will be a testimonial that they have sent to me either via email or messenger.

My Story

Where do I start, well, when I was younger I never had any problems with my weight. I was always fit and athletic at school and continued this into my 20’s. Once I hit 25 I noticed a change in my body. I remember someone saying that once you hit 25 your body totally changes. I thought they were mad and just using that as an excuse for her shape. However, when I was around that age, things definitely started to change. I tried different diets. I lost weight and regained weight (plus a little bit extra 😉 for good measure) and I tried exercising to lose weight as well.

To cut a long story short, after I had my first boy (he is now 16) I really really struggled to get rid of the pregnancy weight. I was in bed for most of the pregnancy due to complications and gained quite a bit of weight. I was so frustrated. Due to my back and pelvis issues, I couldn’t do exercise – I would try and then injure myself and be back at square one.

Things got so desperate that I actually ordered raspberry ketones off the internet. I just didn’t know what to do in order to lose the weight I had. I was the heaviest I ever was. By now I had my 3 children and I was miserable with how I looked. No matter what I did, it just didn’t work.

Then back in October 2013 a great friend told me about the system that she was using. Initially I thought it was a gimmick but she was having amazing results and I was eager to try it. Initially I did it to prove to her that it wouldn’t work, and boy am I glad I did. This programme has turned my life around.

In 19 weeks I lost 41 pounds from my body and I felt amazing. Not only did I lose the weight but I was no longer suffering with all my ailments. My migraines were gone, no more back ache, asthma disappeared, my skin was glowing rather than being red and angry, no PMT (my husband loved that lol) and I had energy to burn. I enjoyed the doing the programme, never felt hungry or deprived and knew that I had changed my life forever.

It is now 2018 and I am still living a healthy lifestyle and in control of my weight. I regularly go to the gym now – not to lose weight but to get fitter and stronger, and for some head space. I am doing things that I never thought I would ever be able to do. I feel 20 years younger and I feel free of my addiction to sugar/carbs and I know that I never need to worry about going on a “diet” again.

Due to the results that I got and my new found interest in food, nutrition and living a natural healthy lifestyle, I decided to study and qualify in weight management, eating psychology and naturopathy in order to help others lead the life that they deserve. From this the SMASH programmes were created! There is more to losing weight than just the food we put in our mouths. When you have that knowledge, the rest is easy.

Jaine’s Story

“After using the simple programme a few years back I knew losing the weight was possible but a combination of bad work situations and job changes sent me slowly back on the slippery sugar slope!

So this time I called Sandra for help! Let’s face it…I am an addict…to sugar! I don’t drink heavily or smoke or do drugs, but I do do sugar!! I will always have the ability to become addicted to it again and to go back on a poor diet so I needed to know I could lose the weight and still enjoy my life but in control!

I was never going to be in my 50s a size 8 pushing a lettuce leaf around a plate and denying myself food and drinks I love but I wanted to be healthier than what I was at the start of the year! Sandra has coached me through my 8 week journey. It was very emotional to start and I would have fallen off the wagon at 14 days if I’d not been speaking to Sandra on a weekly basis. She put me back on track each week with little nuggets of knowledge that will stick in my mind forever.  I will continue to use these nuggets of knowledge to keep my choices 90% good going forward.

I have achieved 21 lbs off in 8 weeks and this time I feel that I am better equipped to make this a permanent weight loss. I now have the knowledge that gives me control of my eating and can recognise my weak points.

Prior to doing the SMASH programme I would cycle to work via the garage, where I’d pick up a sandwich and pack of cookies for the day! That was what I used to live on. Now, I eat more food and I’m staying at a better weight. I have more energy and less hormonal emotions!

I have allowed myself to eat sugars or carbs at times and can see the negative effects  that it has on my body. But most importantly I still enjoy my treats in small doses, I eat out and I still feel in control. I am now naturally wanting to eat the healthier choices and I can enjoy a drink with friends without going overboard.

I have found that you can have it all… I just needed the knowledge to control what for me is an addiction and give my body what it needs so I’m not craving all the carbs and sugar! Emma’s Story

“For me the SMASH journey wasn’t just about weight loss but more a change in lifestyle for myself and my family in the long term. To begin with I wouldn’t have been able to start such a journey without the support of Sandra – an inspirational and dedicated individual that has coached me through my journey all the way.

I have suffered from PTS anxiety since the birth of my last child who is 2yrs old so for a long time my general confidence was at an all time low. It was hard for me to deal with as I kept myself away from the world “outside” but with doing so made it worse.

I was just burying myself at home with coffee and rocky road bars but I knew that day would come that I would have to face outside my bubble and at some point do something without my hubby or my kids as a crutch.

So I made the decision to change my diet and go to Sandra and wow what a journey I’ve been on!!

The PTS anxiety has improved and I have succeeded in so much. I have went to the shops alone!! I have improved my health and my relationship with food. -In the past food was used as a comforter. Now, I can appreciate good clean food and therefore improved my families health and eating habits – added bonus!!

I have lost pounds and inches and I quietly feel more confident in my appearance. I hate people noticing the change in me, but they have and when they have commented it does feel good!!!

I am no longer an addict to coffee!! I can now run 5k!! I love my exercise and love the energy my new lifestyle has given me. It is not another silly diet it’s much more! Sandra you are fabulous and your strength is your success – you are amazing!! Thank you is not enough.

I am excited about living the right way and my whole family has benefited from your coaching through me – even if my cooking ability is dodgy lol!! I know exactly what they’re eating and I know it’s good – we are all now on the road to being a healthy family !! We have Smashed it at our house!!

JH’s Story

I started this SMASH programme to see if I could get to the bottom of my irritable stomach/gut, the constant feeling of discomfort after every meal was horrible. I wanted to try this programme as a lifestyle change to see if I would see any improvements.

The results have been amazing! I no longer have discomfort, I’m in control of the food I eat. I love the food that I eat and I have lots more energy too! An added bonus is that have had weight, inch and body fat loss as part of the programme. I would definitely recommended the SMASH programme xx

Update – I have continued to lose weight after completing my initial 8 week course. This is down to finally learning what is right for my body and how to fuel it properly. I am now choosing to eat healthily rather than eat junk food. I finally feel in control and know that I can maintain this for the rest of my life.

Sharon’s Story

So I did this SMASH programme in February 2018, initially I had wanted to get back on the original system that Sandra used, as I had previously taken them & had brilliant results, but after advice from Sandra I decided to try SMASH.

She knew what my weaknesses were and wanted to help me long term rather than for just 28 days. Oh and it saved me money too 😉

I absolutely love exercise & it’s a big part of my daily routine. But for the amount of exercise I do, I wasn’t seeing any changes to my body. I soon realised after coming to the SMASH classes & food advice, I wasn’t eating enough of the right foods. It was hard to get into my head that I actually needed to eat more to lose weight/inches and feel better.

Oliver’s Story

Oliver is in the middle of his SMASH journey but is so excited about how he is feeling that he gave me a review on my Facebook page. I have screen shot it so that you can see it. To see the change in him in such a short period of time is just brilliant.

When we initially spoke I was so concerned as he had so many health issues, but when we assessed the situation I was happy to coach him through his journey and help him to be able to lose weight naturally and help his body back to health.
