Pasta Free Spaghetti Bolognese Recipe.
If you are trying to decrease the amount of carbs that you are eating but still want to eat healthy nutritious food, this is a quick and easy recipe that the whole family will love.
It is packed full of flavour but it doesn’t have all the extra sugars and additives that traditional store bought sauces have added into them. It is quick and easy to make and very more-ish!😜
“Spaghetti” Bolognese Recipe
Ingredients
400 grams Lean Mince
1 Onion
15 Medium Mushrooms
1 Red Pepper
1 Green Pepper
1 Yellow Pepper
1 Orange Pepper
500 gm of passata
Italian Seasoning
Black Pepper & Salt
1 Clove of Garlic (optional)
Chilli Flakes
2 tablespoon Coconut Oil
To Serve
1 Cup spinach OR
1 Courgette & Carrot
METHOD
Heat 2 teaspoons of coconut oil in a large frying pan
Add in the mince and chopped onion. Staring in all together.
Season with black pepper, Salt, Italian Seasoning, Chilli Flakes to taste.
Add a crushed glove of garlic.
Fry for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
Add in the remaining vegetables and fry for 5 minutes. If you like your peppers crunchy, add them at the very end of the cooking process
Add in the carton of passata, stir in and simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve on a bed of spinach or raw courgette/carrot “spaghetti”
To make the courgette and carrot spaghetti, use a spiralizer machine or a spiralising peeler. “Peel” the courgette and carrot and place on the plate and serve the bolognese mixture on top of it.
You could also serve this with a side salad to increase the amount of vegetables that you are eating. Again one of our family favourites.
