Every Thursday on my Facebook page I do a Transformation Thursday Story that includes success stories from the people that I coach with my SMASH programmes. However, I thought I would do a different type of Transformation Thursday post today as I have so many new followers on my page. Most people don’t actually know my story in relation to how I lost my weight and regained my health. This is my transformation that started back in October 2013!
In the Beginning
Back in 2013 I was living in pain, classified as clinically obese and feeling pretty miserable! I had tried everything out there to lose weight (apart from shake diets, as I dont believe in them) and nothing was working. I was picking up every illness that was going and I was mentally in a bad place. My 40th birthday was looming and I wasn’t looking forward to be Fat and Frumpy at 40!!
I looked into how our programme worked and initially I didn’t think that it would work. Everything else that I had tried had failed so why would this be any different. I am so glad that I decided to give it a go as I did our programme and it has quite literally changed my life. Over the space of 19 weeks I lost 41pounds and 19 inches from my body. I did this through eating real food and no exercise (apart from 20 sit ups and 20 lunges as I was so unfit and sore I couldn’t do anything else). I lost the weight and regained my life.
Now in 2018
4 years after completing the programme, I am now a totally different person. I am totally different from the person that started the programme on a cold wet and miserable morning back in October 2013. I am now doing exercise (not because I have to but because I want to and I LOVE it). Finally, I am in control of my relationship with food and I am feeling so much healthier. Nowadays, I have more energy, my skin is brilliant, I sleep better and I feel 10 years younger.

Today I took the new photos today to show that you can lose weight AND keep it off when you practice what I teach you! I am wearing the exact same outfit in the photo – apart from the boots. Unfortunately, I couldn’t quite perfect the pose but you can see that there is very little change in me. There is definitely more muscle now, due to the exercise that I am doing and I am definitely much healthier! On Monday of this week I ran my first ever 5K and lift weights that I couldn’t do before.
